London, 25/05/2017. Documenting the "Operation Temperer", the deployment of 3.800 troops across the UK put in place by the British Prime Minister Theresa May after two COBRA ("Civil Contingencies Committee is a British cabinet committee chaired by the Home Secretary. The committee is generally referred to as COBRA, after the room in which it meets, Cabinet Office Briefing Room A" - Source, Wikipedia.org) meetings following the Manchester Arena bombing. The armed soldiers are deployed to support armed police officers in key locations, including Parliament, Parliament Square, Whitehall, Downing Street and ministerial buildings. The UK's terror threat level was raised to critical after the terrorist attack in Manchester on the night of the 22 May 2017.<br />
In the meantime, around 17:45, a car was left unattended on Westminster Bridge, which was immediately blocked and closed by heavy police presence and cordons. The bridge reopened within an hour.<br />
