She was for three months a victim of ISIS human trafficking, sex slavery, abuse and torture. Nadia's mother and her six of biological and step brothers were killed by the militants of the so called Islamic State. Ms Murad escaped successfully in November 2014 and found asylum in Stuttgart, Germany. She is now officially nominated by Iraq for the Nobel Peace Prize 2016. From the organisers Facebook page: <<Nadia Murad Basee Taha is a courageous Yazidi woman and survivor of ISIS. She is visiting the UK to share her personal story and raise awareness of the plight of the Yazidi people. She is campaigning on behalf of the 3,500 Yazidi women and girls who are still prisoners of ISIS and has been nominated for the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize for her bravery. Nadia will be speaking about genocide, the enslavement of women, human trafficking and the recruitment of children into conflict. She will also talk about her recent visit to the UN Security Council and explain what she thinks the international community should do in response to these extreme human rights violations. […]>>.
