London, 09/01/2012. Around 200 cyclists gathered outside Kings Cross station to protest against the deficiencies in strategic road safety and equality for cyclists in London. "Bikes Alive", supported by the Times newspaper, has emerged as a new spearhead campaign for bicycle safety issues, decrying the numbers of cyclist deaths in London every year. The direct action took place during rush hour from 18:00 to 19:00 on the streets around the station. At a crossing/junction on the left hand side of the station main exit there is a white bike parked, to remember the cyclist Deep Lee (Min Joo Lee), a 24 year old student killed there while she was riding her bike on the 3rd of October 2011.
