First Anniversary of the Syrian Revolution Demonstration (Syrian People against the President Bashar Al-Assad regime)..London, 17/03/2012. Two different Syrian demonstrations staged in London today. The first rally, started around 1 PM from Paddington Green and it was called globally to commemorate the first anniversary of the Syrian Revolution. Hundreds of people against the President Bashar Al-Assad regime marched through Edgware Road, Park Lane and Hyde Park Corner to end outside the Syrian embassy in Belgrave Square where a Pro-Assad demonstration was already taking place. In fact, around 200 supporters of the President Bashar Al-Assad gathered outside their embassy in support of the regime. Speeches in both English and Arabic were heard from the two different stages built for the occasion. Paul Convoy, the British photographer wounded during the Assad's Government bombing of the city of Homs, gave a speech in support of the Syrian Revolution demonstration.
