Today, Rete Degli Studenti Medi Lazio marked the Lilac Bow Day (Giornata del Fiocchetto Lilla) holding a demo (1.) which started with a sit-in outside the Ministry of Health and ended, after a short march, outside the Ministry of Education and Merit. Today, […] we took to the streets to ask for investments and structural reforms for free, public and accessible psychological assistance to all.[…] every year we will mobilize on March 15 and every day for our mental health. We were before the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Merit to ask for free consultations, the introduction of the 'basic psychologist' (a kind of GP psychologist; and /or the IAPT Program in the UK), and the reform of psychological help desks in schools and universities. To date this Government [Meloni right-wing government] has not taken any measures in terms of mental health, indeed, it has responded by definancing the [so called] 'Psychologist Bonus'. But the data speak for themselves. A response from the institutions is needed: we want a law on mental health […] (2.).
