London, 03/05/2011. The NUJ's LPB - London Photographer (and Videographer) Branch - stage a flash mob outside London City Hall. The protest was organised because professional photographers are concerned about the growing number of incidents of private security guards stopping people taking photos in public places, claiming 'the prevention of terrorism'. These actions are seen to be promoted also by the police force. From the PHNAT website: <<I'm a Photographer, Not a Terrorist! (PHNAT), is the campaign group set up to fight unnecessary and draconian restrictions against individuals taking photographs in public spaces>>.
