London, 30/08/2015. Documenting (and experiencing) the first day of the Notting Hill Carnival 2015 ("Children Carnival") from behind The Mojito Bar 'Centonove' (http://www.centonove.com/). Spinning the tunes and crafting the famous Caribbean cocktails on both days, were Mario and Elio, two Italian friends who've lived and worked in London for several years. Their corner spot on Westbourne Park Road, and their unique brand of Italian-Londoner hospitality, along with their friends Brass and Kez, ensured that everyone passing the 109 became instantly immersed in the community atmosphere, stopping to dance, to sample a Mojito creation, drink a beer or simply to share a smile. <br />
As the first day of Notting Hill Carnival was heading to its end, at 19:00hrs, police officers have made a total of 86 arrests, of which: Criminal damage x3; Public order x9; Offensive weapon (blade) x7; Going equipped for theft x10; Drugs offences x25; Sexual offences x6; GBH x1; ABH x6; Other offences x19. None of them happened outside the 'Centonove'.
