Today, LSE Ideas (London School of Economics) presented a public lecture called "The Origins of the Final Solution: Eastern Europe and the Holocaust" hosted by Professor Timothy Snyder (American historian; Philippe Roman Chair in History and International Affairs at LSE IDEAS for 2013-14; Professor of History at Yale University, specializing in the history of Central and Eastern Europe, and the Holocaust; he is affiliated with the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen in Vienna and the College of Europe in Natolin, Poland; he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations). Chair of the event was Professor Odd Arne Westad FBA (Norwegian historian specializing in the Cold War and contemporary East Asian history; Professor of International History at LSE and an expert in contemporary international affairs; He is director of LSE IDEA). <br />
