London, 18/03/2013. Today, campaigners who took part in the "National Week of Action Against Workfare" held a protest inside the Salvation Army International HQ in the City of London. The protesters claim that the organization is staffing its UK charity shops with Workfare candidates who are being forced to volunteer or have their benefits cut. The Salvation Army has been targeted specifically as it continues to use Workfare despite many other charities pulling out of the Government scheme on ethical grounds.<br />
