London 20/05/2013. Today, the LSE (London School of Economics) presented a public lecture called "Banker to the Poor: Lifting Millions Out of Poverty through Social Business" hosted by Professor Muhammad Yunus (Bangladeshi Professor of economics, he developed the concepts of microcredit and microfinance; in 2006 Yunus and Grameen Bank received the Nobel Peace Prize "for their efforts through microcredit to create economic and social development from below"; in 2010 he was awarded the U.S. Congressional Gold Medal in 2010). Chair of the event was Professor Craig Calhoun (American sociologist and Director of LSE).<br />
