London 27/02/2012. Tonight the Occupy LSX St Paul's camp, after about 4 months (it started the 15th of October 2011), has been evicted by bailiffs and City Police officers. The operation, under a court eviction order, started at midnight and ended around 4 AM. When police, bailiffs and mainstream media journalists gathered in the square, some of the protesters moved on St Paul's steps where they supposed they could stay, and some tried to resist standing on a barricade made using the kitchen cupboard located in the centre of the square. Around 2 AM the big lights which highlight the façade of the Cathedral went off. After few minutes the lights was back and showed officers standing on the top portico of St Paul's. Both the solutions previously listed, didn't stop the officers in riot gears and the bailiffs to clear the area. Police made 20 arrests and stated that the "operation was largely peaceful".
