London, 22/06/2015. Today, a vigil was held outside the US Embassy in London to remember the nine victims of The Charleston church shooting happened on the evening of the 17th of June 2015 at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, a historic black church and a site for community organization around civil rights in South Carolina, United States. Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, Reverend Clementa Pinckney, Cynthia Hurd, Tywanza Sanders, Myra Thompson, Ethel Lee Lance, Daniel L. Simmons, Rev. Depayne Middleton-Doctor and Susie Jackson - were killed by a 21-year-old white male Dylann Storm Roof. <<[…] The United States Department of Justice is investigating the possibility that the shooting was a hate crime or an act of domestic terrorism, among other scenarios. The Federal Bureau of Investigation considers it a hate crime, rather than an act of terrorism.
