London, 30/07/2013. Today, Justice Alliance - supported by other 70 organizations - held a rally outside the Old Bailey. The aim of the demonstration was to celebrate the 64th birthday of the Legal Aid (introduced the 30th July 1949) and to protest against Chris Grayling's plans to cut a further £220 million of criminal legal aid and remove defendants' ability to choose a solicitor. QCs, lawyers, solicitors, human rights groups, legal charities, and citizens claim that the plan will destroy the UK's reputation for fair trials and justice.<br />
