Pro-Palestine Protest At Cybertech Europe 2024 Held At EUR Convention Center La Nuvola

Rome, Italy. 08th October, 2024. Today, High Schools and Universities students marched throughout the streets of the EUR district to protest against the two-day Cybertech Europe 2024 conference and exhibition (1.) held the 08th and 09th October 2024 at the EUR Convention Center La Nuvola (The Cloud). The aim of the Pro-Palestine demonstrators was to reach La Nuvola, where Cybertech Europe takes place, the international event on cybersecurity which has the partnership of Leonardo, the Italian-State-owned company that deals with the defense sector and which activists accused for the sale of weapons to Israel which have been used in Gaza and Lebanon. The demo, patrolled by heavy police presence in full riot gears and supplied by a water cannon truck, ended peacefully.<br />
On the 7 Oct. 2023, a large-scale-invasion of Israel (Operation Al-Aqsa Flood) was launched by the Palestinian militant groups led by Hamas from the Gaza Strip. Consequently, an asymmetric war (Operation Swords of Iron) was declared by Israel against the People of the Gaza Strip which killed at least 42000+ people (including 16000+ children, 198+ healthcare workers, 116+ journalists, 110+ UNRWA workers), with over 95760+ injured (reported by the Gaza health ministry, 21.09.24, 2.). The Israelis killed in the Hamas attack are 1200+, 3400 wounded, 240+ abducted. IDF soldiers killed in Gaza are 644+, 3871+ injured (3.). <br />
Gaza, with about 2.3 million people confined to about 140 square miles, is one of the most densely populated places in the world.<br />
