London, 27/11/2015. This evening, hundreds of cyclists held a demonstration outside the TFL (Transport for London) HQ blocking the Blackfriars road in protest at dangerous traffic conditions. The demonstration ended with a 15-minute "die-in", where protesters laid on the road with their bicycles. From the organiser Facebook page: <<This is Stop Killing Cyclists third annual major November protest, following the first mass die-in outside Transport for London's HQ on Blackfriar's Road in November 2013, after the terrible spate of 6 cyclists being killed within a month. This "No More Coffins Die-In & Vigil", as well as our usual die-in, will involve the placing of symbolic coffins marking each of the currently 21 cyclists killed on London's roads, since the November 2013 Die-In, in front of the TfL HQ […]>>. Cyclists and pedestrians are increasingly distressed at the number of larger vehicles (including buses, trucks and lorries) with blind spots driving on inner city roads which are responsible for the majority of deaths. <br />
