Today, the LSE (London School of Economics and Political Studies) presented a public lecture - part of the LSE Hellenic Observatory public lecture - called "Economic Blues: The Left in Government Times" hosted by Euclid Tsakalotos (Greek Minister of Finance; Syriza Politician; left-wing Greek economist; he has been the Minister of Finance in the Second Cabinet of Alexis Tsipras since 23 September 2015; he previously served as the Minister of Finance in the First Cabinet of Alexis Tsipras from 6 July 2015, following Yanis Varoufakis's resignation, to the 28 August 2015, when a caretaker cabinet was appointed before the September 2015 legislative election; he studied economics at the universities of Oxford and Sussex; he was Professor at the University of Kent, the Athens University of Economics and Business and is currently a professor of economics at the University of Athens). Chair of the event was Professor Kevin Featherstone (Director of the LSE Hellenic Observatory Director).
