London, 01/07/2017. Today, tens of thousands of people (more than 100,000 people for the organisers), led by the The People's Assembly Against Austerity, marched from the BBQ HQ, in Portland Place, to Parliament Square to protest against Theresa May Conservative minority Government in coalition with the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP - http://bit.ly/2s93eHf), the largest unionist political party in Northern Ireland. From the organisers website: <<[…] come together in one massive show of strength and solidarity. We're marching against a Government committed to austerity, cuts and privatisation. We're marching for a decent health service, education system, housing, jobs and living standards for all. We'll hold a minutes silence for the victims of Grenfell Tower and a minute applause for the emergency services who responded so bravely […]>>. Speakers included, amongst others, Jeremy Corbyn MP (Labour Party Leader), John McDonnell MP (Labour Party Shadow Chancellor), Sian Berry (Green Party), Mark Serwotka (General Secretary of the Public and Commercial Services Union, PCS), Len McCluskey (General Secretary of Unite).<br />
