Rome, 04/06/2018. On 4 June 1944 the American forces took possession of Rome, that Day will be remembered as the "Liberazione di Roma". Today, to mark the 74th Anniversary of that day, Rome celebrates one of his most popular areas and "Quartiere simbolo della Resistenza" (District symbol of the Resistance), Centocelle (Municipio V - https://bit.ly/2esBcBX), confering the State Gold Medal (for Civil Merit) for its Antifascist Resistance.
