From the Organisers website: «The delicate face, the melancholy expression, a multifaceted personality animated by a very strong and passionate temperament which she used to explore life and the world without apparent fear and with infinite participation. Tina Modotti (3.). Seamstress, bureaucrat, actress, activist, polyglot, lover, spy. Her name evokes the figure of an almost mythological yet contemporary woman, capable of emanating in a single and unrepeatable essence the volatile notes of freedom, the bursting notes of emancipation, characterizing her with those of a powerful femininity. Much has been written about her life, her relationship with love, but little is known about her work. Above all of her work as a Photographer [only 7 years, ndr]. Yet her splendid gaze shows an extraordinary ability to tell the complexity of a revolution without ever losing the delicacy of paying attention to a detail, to a flower.
