Tina Modotti (3.). Seamstress, bureaucrat, actress, activist, polyglot, lover, spy. Her name evokes the figure of an almost mythological yet contemporary woman, capable of emanating in a single and unrepeatable essence the volatile notes of freedom, the bursting notes of emancipation, characterizing her with those of a powerful femininity. Much has been written about her life, her relationship with love, but little is known about her work. Above all of her work as a Photographer [only 7 years, ndr]. Yet her splendid gaze shows an extraordinary ability to tell the complexity of a revolution without ever losing the delicacy of paying attention to a detail, to a flower.
