Rome, 30/01/2019. Today, Left (Magazine, 1.) held a press conference to present the over 90,000 signatures which have been collected to nominate the Riace municipality for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize. The former mayor of the Calabria town, Domenico 'Mimmo' Lucano, took part at the event, and during his speech said: "This collection of signatures is news that pleasing to me in a period of overriding bitterness. I would like to share this with all the refugees of Riace and those of the entire world, including those of San Ferdinando, in the Gioia Tauro plains, where on February 1 we will be holding a demonstration to shed light on the very serious situation there" (Source, ANSAMed.info, 2.). The campaign has been promoted in Italy by a network of organizations, NGOs and local authorities.<br />
