London, 15/08/2015. Today, the 70th Anniversary of the VJ Day (Victory over Japan Day - also known as Victory in the Pacific Day, V-J Day, or V-P Day - is the day on which Japan surrendered in World War II, in effect ending the II World War) was marked in Central London. The Commemoration started with a Saturday's service at St Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square attended by Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II (accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester), followed by a memorial ceremony at Horse Guard Parade, and finally veterans, war widows and members of their families marched in Whitehall praying and paying their tribute laying wreaths at the Cenotaph.<br />
