Rome, 16/03/20. Today marks the 42nd Anniv. of the kidnapping of the former Italian Prime Minister and Statesman Aldo Moro and the assassination of five members of his police escort (two Carabinieri and three Policemen) by the terrorist group brigate rosse (AKA br, red brigades) and their accomplices, who subsequently killed him after 55 days of captivity. However, given the restrictions linked to the pandemic coronavirus COVID-19, the public commemoration in Via Fani - location of the actual kidnapping and massacre - was suspended. The photos of this story are referred to the Casa delle Armi/Accademia di Scherma (Academy of fencing) del Foro mussolini/Foro Italico (1934-1936), designed by Luigi Moretti, very famous architect and urbanist during the fascist regime in Italy but also globally renown in the post-World-War-II period (1.). Since 1981, this building, considered a masterpiece of the modern Italian architecture, was designated as the venue for terrorism-related trials and called "Aula bunker del Foro Italico". The first trial held in it was the actual "Processo Moro" (Moro's Trial), led by Magistrate Severino Santiapichi, which sentenced the terrorists – including Mario Moretti, Valerio Morucci and Adriana Faranda – to 32 life-sentences and 316 years of prison. Since the beginning of the new Century it belongs to the CONI (Italian National Olympics Committee) but it still does not have a proper and final intended use.<br />
