London, 17/07/2013. Students at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) share Iftar (the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the month of Ramadan) with people in the holy month of Ramadan. Today, they were joined by Hassen Rasool, who spoke briefly about himself and how he became Channel 4's voice behind the Adhan (the Islamic call to prayer, recited by the muezzin at prescribed times of the day) Fajr (the first of the five daily prayers). After prayer they ate food provided by Somali Relief and Development Forum.
