Rome, 07/05/2019. Today, the Chairman of the Presidential Council and Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA) of Libya, Fayez al-Serraj, met the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte at Palazzo Chigi. For al-Serraj this is the first meeting of his European Capitals' tour during which he will meet his European counterparts to discuss the dramatic situation in Libya, erupted in a civil war between the GNA and the forces of General Khalifa Belqasim Haftar. This war has already killed 432 people, wounded 2.069, there are more than 50.000 displaced people (Source, OMS, World Health Organization, 06.05.2019), and hundreds of thousands of migrant people are trapped in legal and illegal prisons.
