London, 11/09/2014. Today, Catalan people based in London held a demonstration outside 10 Downing Street to celebrate "la Diada", The National Day of Catalonia. These Catalans form part of a strong and growing movement for complete self-determination through a referendum on independence announced by the Government of Catalonia on 12 December 2013 which is set for 9 November 2014 (the referendum will ask the Catalan people: "Do you want Catalonia to become a State?" and "In case of an affirmative response, do you want this State to be independent?"). The Spanish Government immediately stated that "Such a poll will not be held".
