Today, "The Kurdish People's Assembly UK" held a demonstration in support and solidarity with the people of Sinjar, and its region, recently attacked by the group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The Campaigner called for the international community not to ignore the ongoing massacre against the Kurdish people and other ethnic and religious groups including members of the Shia, Sufi, Christian and Yezidi communities and to put political pressure against States, such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, allegedly accused of "supporting jihadism in the region". The demonstration started outside the BBC HQ in Portland Place and ended outside the US Embassy.
