Today IPPR (Institute for Public Policy Research, UK progressive thinktank) Juncture presented a public lecture called "Capital In The Twenty-First Century" hosted by the author of the homonymous book, Professor Thomas Piketty (French economist who specializes in the study of economic inequality; former Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, Economics Department from 1993 to 1995; in 1995, he joined the French National Centre for Scientific Research, CNRS, as a researcher; in 2000 he became director of studies at the École Des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, EHESS; currently he is the Associate Chair at the Paris School of Economics). Chair of the event was Nick Pearce (Director at IPPR and former Head of the No10 Policy Unit).
