London, 19/06/2017. Documenting the day after the tragic terrorist attack in Finsbury Park of the early morning of 19 June 2017. The Prime Minister, Theresa May, and the Leader of the Labour Party and MP for Islington North (Finsbury Park's UK Parliament constituency) Jeremy Corbyn, accompanied by multi-faith leaders and politicians visited Finsbury Park Mosque to show support and solidarity for the terrible attack.
On the night of 19 June 2017, at approximately 00:15 BST, a terrorist attack took place in Finsbury Park, London. A white van, from the Pontyclun Van Hire Company (Wales), was driven into pedestrians near the Muslim Welfare House and 90 metres from the Finsbury Park Mosque, injuring ten people and 'possibly' killing one. The tragic event took place while a group of Muslim people were going back home after the night Tarawih prayers (Performed by Sunni Muslims) held during Ramadan. Some of the worshippers were giving first aid to an elderly man who had collapsed at a bus stop (who later died).
