Rome, 11/01/2020. Today, U.S. Citizens for Peace and Justice held a demonstration outside the US Embassy in Rome. The aim of the demo was to protest, "condemn and oppose our President [of the United states] belligerent and criminal actions against the Sovereign State of Iran" as they claimed (1.). The risk of an escalation of war between the US and Iran is still very high due to the targeted assassination of the Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani killed by US drone strike - ordered by the US President Donald Trump - on 3 January 2020 and the consequent Iranian missile launch against two US bases in Iraq.
