Diamante (Calabria – Italy), 01/09/2017. Today, Diamante, gorgeous coastal town in the South of Italy, hosted the first event of the VII Mediterraneo Festival Corto (Festival of Short Films) organised by the Cinecircolo Maurizio Grande. The first of the three-day-international event was a public conversation about the antimafia Journalist and Political Activist Giuseppe "Peppino" Impastato, who was killed on the 9th May 1978 by Cosa Nostra (the Sicilian mafia organization), intercut with clips of the movie "Felicia - La Mafia Uccide Il Silenzio Pure" about Felicia Bartolotta, mother of Peppino Impastato and antimafia activist. The debate was hosted by Giovanni Impastato (Brother of Peppino Impastato and antimafia activist), Annalisa Insardà (Actress, acting teacher and President of the Festival's Jury) and Gregorio Mascolo (Director of the movie: "Felicia - La Mafia Uccide Il Silenzio Pure" / Felicia - The Mafia Kills As Well As The Silence). Chair of the event was Mariella Perrone (Journalist). Other speakers of the event included: Sarah Maestri (Actress) and Mita Medici (Actress and Singer).<br />
