London, 29/11/2013. This evening, thousands of cyclists held a demonstration outside the TFL (Transport for London) HQ blocking the Blackfriars road in protest at dangerous traffic conditions. The demonstration started with a 15-minute "die-in", where protesters laid on the road with their bicycles. 14 cyclists have died on London roads this year, 6 of whom died just in the space of two weeks this month. Cyclists and pedestrians are increasingly distressed at the number of larger vehicles (including buses, trucks and lorries) with blind spots driving on inner city roads which are responsible for the majority of deaths.
