Student Demo - Contro Governo Meloni E Scuola Del "Merito"

Rome, Italy. 18th November, 2022. Today, a High School and University student demonstration was held from Circo Massimo to the Ministry of Education in Trastevere district to protest against the right-wing Meloni's Government and its idea of "merit" which students claim to be pushed through a new model of State School and State University which is "based on exploitation and competition". Moreover, the protest was called against the School-Work Alternation project (the so called "Alternanza Scuola-Lavoro"), to remember Lorenzo Parelli (18-year-old), Giuseppe Lenoci (16-year-old), Giuliano De Seta (18-year-old), who died in three separate accidents that occurred while they were doing internship, and to call the Italian Government to listen to State School students proposals and problems.<br />
To emphasise the importance of "merit" for the Giorgia Meloni's right-wing Government, Giuseppe Valditara was nominated the new Italian Minister for Education and Merit (1.).<br />
