Protester - 2012

London, 07/03/2012. Day of demonstrations against Andrew Lansley's Health and Social Care Bill, which aim to privatise the NHS (National Health Service). Around 1 PM, in a rainy London, demonstrators gathered outside St Thomas's Hospital opposite the House of Parliament. Here they staged as a human chain, symbol of protection of the NHS from the privatisation planned by the Coalition Government. The protest ended peacefully. The second demonstration started at 5 PM with people gathering outside the British Medical Association at Tavistock Square in Central London. Doctors, nurses, students, medical stuff, paramedics, trade unionists, and normal people marched in central London following a banner saying "Kill The Bill, Save Our NHS". The demonstration ended peacefully outside the Central Methodist Hall in Westminster.
