Protester - 2011

London, 22/10/2011. The Day at Occupy LSX started with a public meeting held by national and international speakers. Amongst others were Rev Paul Nicolson (Founder and chairman of Zacchaeus 2000 Trust), Laura Martin (Spanish activist, member of 15M movement), Selma James (co-author of the women's movement classic The Power of Women and the Subversion of the Community, founder of the International Wages for Housework Campaign and coordinator of the Global Women's Strike), Ishmahil Blagrove Jr (Senior Producer/Director and founder of Rice N Peas Films) In the last few days the camp has grown and now looks like a small tent-town, complete with University tent. The kitchen now counts two big tents. The protesters have a hairdresser, a meditation and pray tent and solar panels. In the afternoon a march started from St Paul's which ended in Finsbury Square (London Borough of Islington) where the protesters settled their second camp.
