Rome, Italy. 21st September, 2024. Demo in support and solidarity with the People of Gaza and Palestine, to call for the immediate ceasefire. The peaceful demo started in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and ended outside the main gate of the La Sapienza University of Rome. <br />
On the 7 Oct. 2023, a large-scale-invasion of Israel (Operation Al-Aqsa Flood) was launched by the Palestinian militant groups led by Hamas from the Gaza Strip. Consequently, an asymmetric war (Operation Swords of Iron) was declared by Israel against the People of the Gaza Strip which killed at least 41391+ people (including 16000+ children, 198+ healthcare workers, 116+ journalists, 110+ UNRWA workers), with over 95760+ injured (reported by the Gaza health ministry, 21.09.24, 1.). The Israelis killed in the Hamas attack are 1200+, 3400 wounded, 240+ abducted. IDF soldiers killed in Gaza are 644+, 3871+ injured (2.).  <br />
«[…] The Israeli offensive has left 85% of Gaza’s population internally displaced amid acute shortage of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure was damaged or destroyed, according to the UN […]» (2.).<br />
Gaza, with about 2.3 million people confined to about 140 square miles, is one of the most densely populated places in the world.<br />
