Today, some of the Trade Unions representing Healthcare Workers - including Anaao Assomed, Cimo-Fesmed and Nursing Up, FNOMCeO, the National Federation of the Orders of Surgeons and Dentists - held a demo in Piazza Santi Apostoli while Italy was hit by a 24-hour-National-Strike by doctors and nurses of the Sistema Sanitario Nazionale SSN (Italian National Health System) to protest the Meloni government’s Budget Law 2025, against cuts and insufficient funds allocated to the National Health Service and the increasingly critical working conditions.
